Governance and Quality Assurance of Master Data part of New ERP and CRM Rollout at a Manufacturing Company

Challenge

During the initial stages of implementing a new ERP system, deficiencies in data quality within the existing systems were brought to light.

Assignment

Together with the customer, all data in the current system was identified and classified. In the next step, a data governance structure and organizational design were developed. At the same time, actions were taken to systematically improve data quality in both the existing ERP and CRM systems.

Result

Testing and subsequent go-live of the new ERP system went rather smoothly thanks to the improved data quality. In addition, knowledge was successfully transferred to newly established data controlling roles.
